Q: DO I HAVE TO SEE A DENTIST BEFORE I CAN HAVE MY DENTURES OR PARTIAL WORKED ON BY A DENTURIST?

A: No. Shawn is a licensed and trained professional who is a specialist in the construction and fitting of dentures and partials. She can see you without a dental consultation.

Q: HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY DENTURES? 

A: You should replace your dentures every 5 to 7 years and they should be relined every other year. See Shawn on a yearly basis for a checkup.

Q: WILL INSURANCE COVER THE COST OF MY DENTURES?

 A. The norm is that insurance will cover at least 50% of the cost of your dentures. However, Medicare or Social Security do not cover any denture work.

Q: WHAT IS A RELINE?

A: A reline is putting a new surface inside your denture when your gums have shrunk and there is space between your denture and the gum surface. Relines are recommended every other year.
